Branding for a Grant Program
in the Aleution Pribilof
Anchorage, Alaska USA
Visual Identity, Goods + Items, Stationary
The Gear Reimbursement Grant program, a financial assistance program aiding residents of the Aleutian-Pribilof Islands in Alaska by providing reimbursements for commercial gear and subsistence activities.
We were in charge of the brand design including the logo design, item selection, stationary design, and art direction. For the envelopes we printed on water resistant Tyvek paper so the fishermoon would be able to attach them to their boats without having to worry if they will last the whole reimbursement period.

Through discussions with the client it was made apparent that despite it being the second year and one of the sole reimbursement programs, the word wasn’t getting out. So we helped to re-position the grant to get people excited in participating. We did this through creating a unique set of goods—Coffee Mugs, Tote Bags, T-shirts, and fishing knives. With this design we were also able to convey the different items eligible for reimbursement using visual icons directly in the logo.
